Capcom recently announced the latest installment of their smash-hit crossover fighting game series Marvel vs. Capcom. The newest title, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, pits the heroes of both worlds against a deadly duo of AI in Ultron and Sigma, who have claimed the Infinity Stones to destroy all organic life.

Every Confirmed Character For The 'Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite' Roster

The roster of characters in the series of games is always pretty expansive, so we're sure to see a lot of new characters announced the closer we get to the release date. In the meantime, here's every character confirmed for so far.

Captain Marvel, aka. Carol Danvers, the heavy-hitting cosmic superhero, is one of the first confirmed characters in MvC: Infinite. This will mark her first appearance in a fighting game.

The iconic American symbol of superheroism will be showing up to lead the Marvel side of the fight. He'll presumably fight in a similar style to his previous appearances, making full use of his signature vibranium-steel shield.

The not-so-jolly green giant returns to the MvC series to smash his way through two universes at once. He'll be bringing his incredible strength and resilience to bear against Ultron and Sigma.

Hawkeye

It looks like there's a pretty big focus on the Avengers in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite as Hawkeye also joins the cast. He'll presumably be a zoner type character, with a lot of trick arrows to play with.

Thor

The god of thunder is in, wielding his enchanted hammer Mjolnir in the clash of worlds. Despite Thor being declared unworthy in the comics and replaced by a female successor, MvC: Infinite looks to be bringing the original back.

Tony Stark suits up to round out the Avengers heavy roster. He's shown up before, and looks like he'll be playing similarly, using his trademark repulsor blasts to keep enemies at bay.

Rocket Raccoon

Possibly the most popular member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket Raccoon will be appearing in MvC: Infinite. Despite his small size, Rocket Raccoon is a formidable fighter with a diverse array of weaponry and a lot of speed on his side.

Ultron

Created by Henry Pym, Ultron was a loyal AI until he turned megalomaniacal. It appears he'll be forming one half of a fearsome duo of evil robot villains, teaming up with Sigma from Megaman X for as-yet unknown dastardly reasons.

Ryu

Not exactly an unexpected inclusion, the most iconic member of the Street Fighter roster will be playable in MvC: Infinite. He probably won't have too many surprises up his sleeve in terms of playstyle.

Mega Man X

A lot of folks were disappointed by the lack of Mega Man in the last MvC, but they'll be relieved to hear he's making an appearance in MvC: Infinite. He'll be pretty important to the story as well, seeing as his latest foe Sigma is one of the main villains of the game.

Chris Redfield

Despite possessing no powers besides an arsenal of guns and biceps bigger than his head, Chris Redfield from the Resident Evil will be joining the battle against Ultron and Sigma.

Chun-Li

Perhaps the other most iconic Street Fighter character, Chun-Li will be joining Ryu in the game. The Chinese interpol agent will be bringing her lightning-fast fighting style, complete with her iconic moves like the spinning bird kick and hyakuretsukyaku.

Morrigan

First seen in the Darkstalkers series, Morrigan is a succubus with magical powers, including the ability to reshape her wings into weapons and project ki blasts from her hands.

Strider

Fresh from his semi-recent reboot, the techno-ninja Strider Hiryu will be continuing his favorite hobby of carving apart androids with his lightning-fast swordsmanship.

Sigma

Sigma appears to be the second of the two main villains in MvC: Infinite. This Mega Man X villain is just as evil and ingenious as his Marvel ally, and will be a deadly threat with the infinity stones backing him up. It appears he won't be playable at launch however, and will instead be post-release DLC.
