Civilization games always add in Easter egg quotes for the various achievements and milestones in each game – and now there's more Monty Python!
In Civilization 6, we get a great swath of famous historical quotes... and a few goofy ones thrown in for good measure. Hidden in certain milestones are a handful of great quotes from the likes of Monty Python, Douglas Adams, and Terry Pratchett.
Here are all the quote Easter eggs we've found in Civilization 6 so far.
From the Movie 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'
"Listen, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government ... You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you!"
From the Movie 'Monty Python's Life of Brian' (Quote Actually Delivered by John Cleese)
"Apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?"
From Terry Pratchett's Book 'Guards! Guards!'
"You can't go around arresting the Thieves' Guild. I mean, we'd be at it all day!”
From Douglas Adams' Book 'Mostly Harmless'
"A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools."
