We've given a lot of praise to Dishonored 2, our creators' choice of 'Game of the Year', for the way it empowers players with exactly the tools they need to decipher every level. Whether brutally cutting through opponents, or slipping through the shadows, it makes for great discussion.
You can expect even more discussion to erupt with the launch of Game Update 1. The update brings various improvements to #Dishonored2, the biggest of which is New Game Plus, a mode which will open up new avenues for eager players.
'Dishonored 2' New Game Update Makes Corvo And Emily More Overpowered
New Game Plus is unlocked after completing the game with either Corvo or Emily, preserving the Runes and Bone Charms collected during your playthrough. Regardless of who you play as, the full suite of abilities is unlocked and you can reassign the Runes as you see fit.
“Dishonored players have asked for it, so now New Game Plus is here for Dishonored 2. If you've ever wanted to make higher-powered characters, now's your chance. If you've wanted to play Emily Kaldwin with Possession or Devouring Swarm, or Corvo Attano with Domino, now you can. We've been having fun with it here at Arkane Studios, and we hope you will too.” - Harvey Smith, Creative Director
Game Update 1 is available now as a beta on PC, but will officially release on December 19th for PlayStation, Xbox One and PC. If you want more options on how to play, Game Update 2 will arrive in January, featuring mission select and additional custom difficulty settings. They'll be more info on Game Update 2 in the near future, until then we've got new tools to play with.
Will you be replaying Dishonored 2? What combination of Corvo and Emily's abilities do you think will be most effective?
