During Microsoft's press conference, Bandai Namco surprised us all by revealing their latest project: Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Developed by Arc System Works, the new game utilizes a 2D three-on-three fighter mechanism reminiscent of the modern Street Fighter games. The game looks fantastic, with an aesthetic that feels more like the actual anime series than a video game.

If a true game is what you are looking for, then look no further:

Dragon Ball FighterZ Is Coming Soon

According to the announcement, the game will be coming to Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in early 2018. You will be able to switch between characters (3v3) in battle and for now, mostly characters from the Dragon Ball Z anime seem to be playable in-game. Though, it's quite possible that characters from Dragon Ball Super and perhaps even Dragon Ball GT could appear, since Freiza's golden form appeared in the trailer. We will have to wait for further confirmation.

E3 will be running a closed beta of for both Playstation 4 and Xbox One sometime before the end of the summer and according to IGN, the game will offer an enhanced experience for Xbox One X players.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be available for purchase in 2018. It is already available for pre-order.
