'Tis the season! The season for spooks and scares galore that is, and what better way to send chills down your spine than a trip through a haunted house? While most haunted houses terrify their visitors with ghouls, gore, and a clown or two, one haunted house in Las Vegas is taking a slightly different approach...

An animatronic approach.

Are you ready for Freddy?

Or should I say, are you Freddy for ready?

Five Nights at Freddy's Haunted House Open NOW at the Fright Dome in Las Vegas

The Fright Dome is more than just a haunted house—it's a whole slew of haunted houses. Located on the Vegas Strip, it's been called "one of the most extreme haunted houses in the world" by the Travel Channel, and it's constantly developing, designing, and debuting different haunted houses and "scare zones" to terrify its visitors all throughout the year.

This year? They had the opportunity to work directly with Scott Cawthon, creator of the Five Nights at Freddy's series, to create a Five Nights at Freddy's-themed haunted house! Now you can step into Freddy Fazbear's Pizza to enjoy all the family-friendly fun and excitement... or should we say family-unfriendly thrills, chills, and terror?

Let's Party at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria!

The Five Nights at Freddy's-themed haunted house transports you into the world of Five Nights at Freddy's, complete with party decorations, pizza on the walls, arcade games, plushies, children's drawings, and more. As you walk through the house of Fazbear frights, you'll progress from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., making your way through various party rooms, the parts room, and even the actual security office pulled straight from the game!

The Fright Dome designers worked directly with Scott Cawthon, going over all the details and making sure everything was as authentic as possible—you won't find a more genuine Freddy Fazbear's anywhere else!

And really, the detail is pretty amazing.

There's an actual working crane game (albeit one that "breaks down" before you can win a prize) filled with plushies of Freddy and his friends that look exactly like their counterparts in Five Nights at Freddy's 4. There are rows of Freddy-themed arcade games, hand-drawn "kids'" drawings portraying their adventures at the pizzeria on the walls, and even a prize counter—where I can only assume that in a real Freddy Fazbear's, you'd be able to exchange tickets for different Freddy & Co.-themed merchandise.

Oh, and a ball pit, of course, because what family fun center would be complete without a ball pit?

When you step into the parts room, you're greeted with animatronic heads with popped-out eyes, wires and endoskeletons, a spare leg or two. Make your way to Pirate's Cove and you'll be greeted with the exact purple curtain and "Sorry! Out of Order" sign you've seen through the security cameras hundreds of times before.

And have we talked about the office? The creators have said it's the most authentic room of the bunch. Since it's the one room in the game you actually spend time in (and you get clear shots of everything on the walls and tables), they wanted to make as exact a replica as possible for the room of terror, all the way down to the desk fan and wall buttons!

All in all, it's a pretty scary experience... but also a pretty cool experience for fans of the game. After all, how often does it happen that you get a chance to step inside your favorite game?

The Five Nights at Freddy's haunted house will only be open during the month of October (culminating on Halloween Night). Whether or not we'll get to see Freddy and his friends again, say next year, is anyone's guess, which means that if you want a chance to experience Freddy Fazbear in all his glory, you'd better get a move on!
