I never got to own a #Mew when #PokémonBlue was steadily eating up nearly every waking moment of my youthful time. None of my friends had managed to bag one either, but we all had Mewtwos of varying strengths, and that's some recompense right? I mean, #Mewtwo is really very cool.

More Pokemon Sun & Moon content:

But if you're going to be in the vicinity of East London's Old Truman Brewery come November 22 (between 5pm-10pm), you'll be able to (finally) get your hands on the all exclusive, mythical cutey that is Mew for the Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red & Blue, and Pokémon Yellow! And, get this, once you have Mew... you can transfer it to Pokémon Sun and Moon. Cue the wistful window gazing.

Yes, in honor of Pokémon Sun and Moon's impending release, #Nintendo UK is throwing a carnival that will bring Alolan flair, color and charm to the streets of London, along with a shed-ton of goodies and events as well. Get your photo taken with Pikachu, embarrass yourself when meeting battle designer Shigeki Morimoto and, more importantly, get hands on with Sun & Moon's Battle Royale mode.

But we're here for Mew, right? So how do we go about getting our hands on that little Psychic-type badboy? Well the big N have a limited number of tickets available for its free Poké-jamboree, and if you want to have a good chance of getting your hands on one, you'd better take at least one (or all) of these steps:

Head over to Twitter and tell @NintendoUK why you absolutely cannot wait to visit Alola. Make sure to include the hashtag #PokemonSunMoon.

Follow Eurogamer On Twitter

The UK gaming website Eurogamer has made a pact with the big N that by going through their four step plan, you'll have a higher chance of getting your hands on a ticket for the event.

Answer One Simple Question

Or, alternatively, you could head to Nintendo Life, answer a pretty simple question and grab yourself one of their 30 tickets.

How's that for a little bit of nostalgic gold? Nothing in Alola will stand in your way with Mew in your squad. So go catch 'im!

Have you got a ticket to Nintendo UK’s Pokémon Festival?
