Surprise! It's a licker on the ceiling! Just kidding. It's actually the news that #ResidentEvil7: Biohazard will be releasing a Collector's Edition set. The leaked Collector's Edition comes courtesy of an update by Gamestop Italy, who posted several details on their site, including, strangely enough, the fact that it does not come with the actual game. Here's what we know...
Resident Evil 7 Collector's Edition Features:
- 20th anniversary of "Resident Evil" artbook
- Five limited edition lithographs that come with envelopes
- Three alternative "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" covers
- The set also includes an exclusive DLC available for all platforms,
- 16GB USB stick shaped like the infamous dummy finger from the trailer
- Model of Principal house (25 x 23.7 x 17,1cm)
Resident Evil 7: Collector's Edition will be available from January 24, 2017, the same day that Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will release on #PS4, #XboxOne and #PC. That's just three days before the movie Resident Evil: The Final Chapter hits theaters on January 27, 2017.
The leaked details regarding the Collector's Edition for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard put the cost of these goodies around $107, sans game. However, there is an option to have the bundle include the game that will raise the price up to around $162 dollars. There's still a chance, however, that the offer for US retailers will be different European ones.
Giving you the Finger
Easily the most exciting part of the bundle is the USB stick Dummy Finger, which fans discovered in the Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Beginning Hour demo. Players were convinced it was the key to something important, and Capcom encouraged this theory. So far, however, all we know is that it can be attached to a mannequin hand. Time will tell if this turns out to be any more than an elaborate prank by the devs.
