One of the highlights of last year's Doctor Strange was its unconventional ending. The dread Dormammu made his MCU debut when Stephen Strange visited the Dark Dimension with a proposition:
While Doctor Strange prevailed with some sweet negotiation skills against the Lord of Chaos himself, it seems like Dormammu won't be in such a bargaining mood when Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite comes around in September. The latest gameplay trailer for the anticipated video game sequel reveals Dormammu will be a part of it—and he's not to be messed with.

Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite Has MCU Ties
Marvel fans have been waiting endlessly for a console game where they can play as their favorite MCU characters. While Marvel Future Fight and Contest of Champions are fantastic mobile games with playable #MCU personalities, Infinite looks to be the first console game to cover such demands. The game has a character roster filled with many MCU heroes and villains; many of them have their MCU-accurate costumes. The title of the game even alludes to the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War movie, and the heavy inclusion of the Infinity Stones in the game adds more ties to the movie end of the Marvel universe.
But regardless of the game's amazing MCU ties, I'm happy that #Dormammu in Infinite has little resemblance to his MCU counterpart.
Dormammu In The MCU
Dormammu's scene in #DoctorStrange was undoubtedly one of the movie's best scenes, but Dormammu himself wasn't looking all too great. While the scene was highly praised, many fans were quick to suggest how similar Dormammu and Galactus from Rise of the Silver Surfer looked. The character's design was vastly different from what Dormammu looks in the comics and even early concept art of the villain looked better than the final product.
Hopefully the Lord of Chaos will receive a makeover once Phase 4 of the MCU initiates in 2019. In the meantime, Dormammu will be looking comic book-accurate when #MarvelvsCapcomInfinite is available for purchase on September 19.
