Umm... are you going to drink that Skooma?

It's fair to say that, despite it being utterly riveting, Nintendo Switch's teaser trailer was like a ten cent piece of bubblegum. It offered just a glancing taste of exactly what we needed from a console in the 21st century, but after just a few minutes we were left wanting more.

Switch seemingly has it all: Nintendo's intimidating back-catalog of characters, power, portability and a damn cool aesthetic. But for everything confirmed many question marks were left, floating in yellow cubed boxes. Luckily for us the internet exists.

Redditors and other insightful badasses across the waves of the web have been scouring Switch's teaser for some insight into what we'll all be thrusting into the sky like Link and a newly acquired item this March.

Right, let's break these new discoveries down then.

Nintendo Switch Has Detach Buttons For Its Joy-Cons

Which makes sense, because if the Joy-Cons slip on and off as easily as the trailer suggests, you can bet the tablet would go flying when you're running for a train. Maybe it'll fly up and clock you in the mouth! And we don't want that now, do we?

The Plus & Minus Keys Are Switch's Start and Select Buttons

Whether or not the rumor that people were thinking the + was a D-pad is true or not, be thankful it isn't. The + & - keys are the controller's start and select keys. How they will function when the controllers are separated, I couldn't tell you.

Joy-Cons Have Shoulder Buttons!

Which you would think should be a total no-brainer, but these controllers are pretty small man! I was worried for a while, because no shoulder buttons means no parity with the vast majority of modern consoles. But Nintendo cheekily slipped them in, and all is well in the universe.

Does The Switch Have Motion Control?

This rumor has been skipping its way around forums for a wee while now and seems to have been given new life by the image above. On the bottom of the Joy-Con to the right is a seemingly see-through, plastic window not too dissimilar to the tip of the Wiimote. Does that mean Switch will have motion control? Oh and the image on the left suggests rubber feet. Not as exciting as motion control, but news.

Is That A Stylus Slot?

Because it sure looks like one! Which means touchscreen! Which means this will be one hell of a tablet!

Surely That's An SD-Card Slot?

Most tablets don't even have expandable memory, so good going Nintendo!

Looks Like You Can Charge On The Go

Keep an eye, or two at best, pinned on this dude's Switch. See that little cable plugged in at the bottom? That could be a portable charger! Good thing you still have that one lying around from your time Pokémon GO-ing about town.

You can bet your booty that more juicy Switch-shaped details will slowly begin to appear, upending our days completely in the run up to the Nintendo Switch release date.
