Well, this is one way to start my Thursday.
According to a report by Kotaku, the highly anticipated indie title [No Man's Sky](tag:2684052) has been delayed. Sony and developer Hello Games previously revealed that the procedurally generated space adventure would get its release date for PS4 and PC on June 21 in North America. However, Kotaku's sources allege that it may not arrive until July or even as late as August.
A reliable Kotaku source was the first to inform us of the delay. A second source, who works at GameStop, said they received marketing materials today for No Man’s Sky with the original June 21 release date. However, stores were informed that the release date is no longer correct and that they should cover it up with a “Coming Soon” label.
Here's the label:
Neither Sony nor Hello Games responded to Kotaku's request for comment, so this hasn't been confirmed by the big two. Of course, we all want to play a perfected No Man's Sky and more development time for a video game is always a good thing. But...it's No Man's Sky! We want to experience this game and finally know whether the hype was worth it. I mean, it's so pwetty.
