In Persona 5 hanging out with characters is the best way to rank up your confidant level in each arcana type, which in turn bestows buffs during combat and grants access to new abilities. In this part of our confidant and cooperation we'll show you the fastest way to improve your relationship with Ryuji Sakamoto and increase the Chariot Social Link rank.

Ryuji and his Chariot Abilities become available on 4/12. He can be found outside your classroom or at the Yongenjaya Arcade.

'Persona 5': All Chariot Abilities Unlocked

  • Baton Pass: Allows you to pass your turn over to other Baton Pass users after a 1 more.
  • Final Blow: If the protagonist doesn’t down the enemy, Ryuji will perform a follow-up attack.
  • Delinquent Talk: After failing to persuade a shadow, your chances of a second try are increased.
  • Paper Fan Recovery: Sometimes cures all status ailments on Party Members.
  • Instant-Kill: Increases the chance of you killing the enemy instantly (only works on weaker enemies).
  • Moxie: If the attack will kill Ryuji, there’s a chance he may endure it.
  • Covering: When an enemy attacks the main character's weakness, Ryuji can take the hit instead.
  • Ultimate Awakening: Ryuji's Persona will evolve to its ultimate form.

'Persona 5' Confidants & Cooperations Guide: Quickest Way To Rank Up

  • As with previous Persona games, social interactions are best initiated with a persona of the same arcana type equipped. This will ensure you're given bonus affinity points with the confidant in question, though note that this does not apply to Fool, Magician, Strength, Moon, Sun, Justice and Judgment arcana links.
  • Praying at the Meiji Jingumae Shrine (unlocked at 8/6) can boost your confidant relationship even when the character isn't available to hang out with. Bear in mind that this costs money and time.
  • While exploring you can always hit R1 to bring up the prefectures map. Pressing square over any location will show you the cooperation opportunities (if any) currently available there.
