It looks like popular YouTuber Pewdiepie is continuing his string of attention-grabbing antics, with a tongue-in-cheek new video that promises he's going 'family friendly' to conform with YouTube's advertiser guidelines.

In one of his newest videos, has announced that his channel is going to go family friendly from now on, in order to conform to the new advertising policy, which has recently gone into effect.

Pewdiepie claims that as a result of this new policy, a third of his videos have been demonetized by the site, cutting into his income of $4,000,000 dollars a year. The popular YouTube personality made the statement at the start of his video, saying:

“No more swearing, no more sexual jokes and definitely no more Hitler jokes, I wish I was joking, I’m not. It seems that YouTube has made some changes and about a third of my videos have become demonetized. I’m going to have to be family friendly from now on so I don’t go homeless."

“I love money too much.”

It seems that the new advertising policy, as well as the recent controversy surrounding anti-Semitic humor on his channel, has cut into the Swedish Millionaire's income. In order to continue to make more money than most people will ever see in their lifetime per year, he may have to alter his content.

Satire Or Serious? You Decide

Whether Pewdiepie truly intends to alter the content on his channel, or is simply making some kind of satirical point about the YouTube ad guidelines, remains unclear at this point. Although since he did follow up his declaration by referring to a monster puppet as a "whore" and declaring that a young man had "dick sucking lips," he's probably not actually going to change his unique style of 'humor' anytime soon.

Despite his apparently tongue-in-cheek attitude, Pewdiepie has repeatedly landed himself in some hot water with YouTube. The most recent controversy surrounded his paying two men on Fiverrr to hold up a sign that read "death to jews", in the latest in a string of anti-Semitic jokes on his channel. While Pewdiepie claims that they were a joke, and not intended to be racist in any way, it wasn't taken as such by either YouTube or Disney, who dropped him from their YouTube Red channel and Maker Studios, respectively.

Pewdiepie has also started a new show on , where he hopes the looser guidelines will allow him the creative freedom to express his unique brand of edgy 'humor' over horror games like the upcoming Outlast 2 again.
