Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney celebrates its 15th Anniversary this year, and Capcom plans to celebrate with the release of a collector's edition on the Nintendo 3DS so expensive even the most die-hard fans of the series will be shouting "Hold it!"

For the low low price of 150,000 yen (or $1366), you can purchase the "Premium Edition" bundle. This includes the Ace Attorney 1-6 collection of games, exclusive art, a soundtrack CD, an autographed image of Phoenix Wright himself, and a 24 karat pure gold commemorative plate.

This makes the Ace Attorney 15th Anniversary Special Edition one of the most expensive limited editions ever created, but I must admit that the commemorative plate looks very cool.

Perhaps most amusingly, the $1360 collectors edition still contains the "Best Price!" box art for the 3DS games, so consumers are at least assured their purchase is good value! If I had the kind of money to shell out on this collector's edition, I think I would prefer my games to have a fancy cover to show off.

If you have the money to spare - or don't mind living off instant-noodles for a while like Detective Gumshoe, this limited edition set is available for the Nintendo 3DS from the e-Capcom store

Has this special edition gone too far? I'd love to read your comments below!
