#Niantic hasn't been doing itself any favors in winning back Pokemon Go players after removing tracking, and few feature rollouts since release several months ago. But if you've felt the Pokemon Go burnout, then Halloween might be a good time to get back into the groove.

Pokemon Go is having a special Halloween event, where you'll encounter scary Pokemon more often than normal. Among the Pokemon that will be making some surprise bonus appearances are some of the harder to find Pokemon like Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar. Unfortunately this bonus also applies to the incredibly annoying Zubat as well as the often infestation-level Drowzee.

But that all sounds worth it to finally get your hands on a Wonder-level Gengar, doesn't it?

In addition to encountering the Gastly line more often and getting a good shot at Hypno, you can also get 2x Candy for catching, hatching, and transferring Pokemon and 4x Candy from your Buddy Pokemon.

The event is coming October 26 to November 1, so make sure you get out there to complete your Pokedex.

Will the Halloween event get you back into Pokemon Go?
