Pokéfans across the globe will be excited to hear that the Official Pokémon YouTube Channel has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Releasing on November 17 in all regions, Nintendo and Game Freak have been very quiet on the details for the upcoming Pokémon game.

The new trailer provides us with some new information regarding what features will be changed and added in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Here it is:

Here's The Trailer Breakdown!

The Return Of Follower Pokémon?!

Eleven seconds into the trailer we get a glimpse of what could be an exciting returning feature to the series. In Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver you could have Pokémon follow you around and interact with them. It was a neat little feature that made you feel more like the trainers from the TV show.

This clip shows what looks like a Rockruff following its trainer with a little note above its head — a symbol that was also used in Heart Gold and Soul Silver. It will be a hugely exciting moment for fans if this feature returns, because it shows Nintendo does listen to fan requests and knows what is popular in the series.

Pokéstar Studios Makes A Comeback?

Seventeen seconds into the trailer we get a short shot of a trainer running through a city... but what is that building in the background? The star on the post outside combined with the bright colours and what could be a tripod camera in the window is enough for me to speculate that this could be the Alolan branch of Pokéstar Studios!

This area featured in Pokémon Black and White 2, and allowed you and your Pokémon to become movie stars by battling props in set sequences. It was a really entertaining side area with a lot of content, so I would be really happy to see Pokéstar Studios make a comeback in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

A Look At The New Map!

Twenty-one seconds into the trailer and we get a full look at the new Alola region we will be exploring in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. The islands look familiar enough, except a mysterious large portal has opened above Poni Island, casting it into darkness.

No doubt this portal will play a major role in the story for the new Pokémon game. I will be keeping an eye out for any more information that gets released surrounding these new developments in the Alola region.

New Customization Options Abound!

For those who love to customize their trainer with fresh accessories and clothes, there is good news! It has been confirmed that there will be new outfits and trainer models to use in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

After playing Splatoon 2 for a while, I've gotten much more interested in character customization, so I am looking forward to this update!

New Dusk Form Lyanroc!

The last bit of news from the trailer was already confirmed elsewhere, but it is good to see it again. Rockruff has a new option for evolution in the form of Lycanroc (Dusk Form).

This new form has the ability Tough Claws, which boosts the power of the Pokémon's contact moves by 30%. Lycanroc Dusk Form is going to have some scary bite attacks because of this!

It's unknown what criteria will need to be met in order to evolve Rockruff into a Dusk Form Lycanroc, but the trailer says at the end there will be "new details soon" on how to obtain one. Stay tuned for more information!
