The first Resident Evil movie was released in 2002, and with the sixth movie, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, hitting the cinemas on January 27 it's time to clear up the convoluted story. Because between six movies, 15 years and a lot of somewhat contradictory video games, it has become increasingly hard to keep track of how the whole thing with Alice, Wesker and the Umbrella Corp. actually fits together.

Luckily, it seems like Capcom and Sony Pictures realize this. At least, they've released a video in which Milla Jovovich, a.k.a. Alice, recaps all movies in two minutes. And it's kind of helpful.

Next Week Is Res Week

If there ever was a time to get in on the Resident Evil action it is now. On January 27 Resident Evil: The Final Chapter concludes the movie series (for a time at least) and three days before that, on January 24, the newest installment in the franchise's video game series, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, is coming out.

More than ever, now is the time for everything Umbrella, Wesker, t-virus, Alice, putrid flesh Claire, Racoon City, Chris and terrible, mutated abominations. The internet is literally buzzing with these words at the moment, so if you want to learn more about the world of Resident Evil, all you have to do is dig in.

Which are you most excited for? The Resident Evil game or movie?
