With the immense popularity of Overwatch, have had their work cut out for them as they try to satiate the endless demands of fans wanting a constant stream of new content. And it's no wonder that the fans want more, Overwatch is awesome! Getting more content for it is like getting extra cake at a party; and you can never have too much extra cake!

But with that said, what could be coming next for Overwatch? With the recent additions of Ana and , fans have moved on to speculating who Blizzard may add next to the already impressive hero roster. And many hints have pointed to one hero (or villain?) in particular; Doomfist.

So Who Exactly Is Doomfist? may not exactly be a case of 'who', but more a case of 'what'.

According to the Overwatch Wiki:

The moniker of "Doomfist" has been carried by at least three individuals, referred to as "the Savior," "the Scourge," and "the Successor" respectively.

In the lore, each Doomfist wields a powerful gauntlet (I'll give you 3 guesses what it's called...), and Winston supposedly defeated one of the wielders of the Doomfist gauntlet, before it was put on display (he most likely defeated 'The Scourge' pictured in the banner below).

So, would undoubtedly be a unique twist on the hero formula, as instead of being the only one with his set of skills, he will most likely just be the next in a succession of previous 'Doomfists'. This is backed up by the banners found on Overwatch's 'Numbani' map, which shows a mysterious silhouetted figure, simply captioned as 'The Successor'.

The Writing's On The Wall...And All Over Numbani Actually

The first clues that Doomfist may soon be coming to the world of Overwatch are located in Numbani. All around the map, players can find billboards listing that a 'Doomfist Exhibition' will be occurring in the city. However, on all of these billboards, the third Doomfist featured on the image is silhouetted, as if to say he's yet to make an appearance.

Furthermore, the payload which players push on the map actually contains the Doomfist gauntlet itself, presumably being moved after the events of the Overwatch reveal trailer.

Now if this isn't a hint that Doomfist may soon be upon us, I don't know what is!

Well, there is one thing...

Terry Crews Visits Blizzard, Could He Be Providing The Booming Voice of 'Doomfist'?

Terry Crews, famous for his past in the and his current job as an actor, has recently visited Blizzard HQ and met the team behind Overwatch. He told fans about his visit in a recent Facebook post:

Now, some people may think this visit means nothing. I mean c'mon, Terry Crews is just a big fan! This couldn't possibly mean that there's a new character in the works. This is all just media hype...right?

Well, there's just one thing. In a recent Reddit post, Terry Crews himself stated that he would "love to play Doomfist".

So, let's look at the evidence. First, Blizzard leaves a number of clues in the game, suggesting that a successor to previous Doomfist characters is yet to make an appearance. Then, Terry Crews (a high profile celebrity with millions of fans, who is also an avid gamer) posts on the Overwatch Reddit page that he would love to voice Doomfist. Finally, very soon after this, he takes a visit to Blizzard HQ and talks to none other than the Overwatch team themselves.

Coincidence? Or is Doomfist secretly in the works? I suppose we'll have to wait and see...
