If you were to look up any character wishlist for the upcoming Injustice 2, two names tend to pop up: Red Hood and Watchmen's Rorschach. NetherRealm Studios has been doing a great job by giving fans characters that we have been asking for: Blue Beetle, Swamp Thing, Black Canary, Reverse Flash, etc. And Ed Boon said that, if there is a character who couldn't make it into the base roster, expect them to be one of the nine DLC characters.

Since the entire base roster of characters has already been revealed, we can assume that Rorschach will be on that DLC list — since guest characters always end up being the most popular downloads in fighting games. But could other Watchmen show up as well?

Even if only Rorschach is one of the nine extra characters, there is a way to integrate the others: via Injustice 2's Premier Skins mechanic. Premier Skins are pieces of gear you can unlock that can transform a character into another character — with their own model, voice actor and unique dialogue, turning Captain Cold into Mr. Freeze, the Flash into Reverse Flash, Supergirl into Power Girl, etc.

Here are the ideal Watchmen for the Premier Skins, and their established Injustice 2 counterparts.

The most obvious transformation would be Batman turning into Nite Owl, because DUH — they already look identical!

2. Silk Spectre: Catwoman (Or Black Canary)

Silk Spectre has very similar moves — and even a similar suit design — to Black Canary, so I would totally accept her as Canary's Premier Skin. But since Silk Spectre has no powers, the better choice would be to make her a Premier Skin for the one and only Selina Kyle.

3. The Comedian: Deadshot

First off, NetherRealm, when it comes to the Comedian, PLEASE bring Jeffrey Dean Morgan back for the voice; he is (still) the perfect actor for the role.

Secondly, if the Comedian is going to be a Premier Skin, then we're going to need a gun-wielding psychopath to unlock him with — and the only character that fits that description right now is Deadshot, which honestly sounds perfect for Edward Blake. Just change the wrist magnums for regular hand magnums and you're golden.

4. Doctor Manhattan: Doctor Fate

With Doctor Manhattan, you know NetherRealm Studios is going to have to slightly tone down his power level for the game — and by "slightly," I mean completely nerf the character, because the actual Doctor Manhattan would win every single fight with a snap of his blue fingers.

However we can still have him as a Premier Skin for the most powerful being in the Injustice 2 roster: Doctor Fate, who already has a fitting name. Switch out all of the onk effects with atom symbols, get rid of that little helmet, and make him a blue dude (preferably with some shorts — the game is rated T for Teen!).

5. Dollar Bill: Superman

Just for some fun and laughs, maybe NetherRealm could bring in some classic Minutemen characters — if so, one that seems obvious would be turning Superman into Dollar Bill. Both wear a bunch of blue and red, and have a big "S" on their chests. You might be asking "Why?" And all I can respond with is, "Why not?"

6. Ozymandias: Black Adam

Ozymandias is a psychopath trying to emulate Egyptian dictators, so why not give him as a Premier Skin to an acutal psychotic dictator from ancient Egypt? Black Adam returns and happens to already have a similar looking suit to Ozzy, so I say it fits perfectly.

Injustice 2 releases on May 16th, 2017.

And there you have it, all my speculations as to how Injustice 2 players will be able to play as the Watchmen. Do you have any Premier Skins you want to see in Injustice 2? Let me know in the comments below!
