Everybody's got their own favourite typing in Pokemon, and if you're like me then your favourite is fire. This typing has been in the game since the first generation and started with the beloved Charmander all the way up to the latest generations, with the likes of Chandelure.

Let's rank the top 10, let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
Victini is first up on our list and it's also a legendary! This Pokemon is so cute and extremely cool at the same time. Victini is one of the free Pokemon being given away online this year! Be sure to find her from September 1 to 24, 2016 on the Nintendo Network!
Like all other legendaries, Victini is known not to evolve, which is kind of sad because I'd love to know what her next evolution would look like! Nevertheless, Victini is a very strong Pokemon being both fire and psychic, which makes for some good strategies.
Fun Fact: Victini was designed to appeal more to girls than to boys.
Vulpix is a generation one Pokemon, who evolves into Ninetales when exposed to a Fire Stone. I have to admit that I prefer Vulpix to Ninetales, mainly because how cute Vulpix is. I always find it a tough decision picking between Flareon and Vulpix in Pokemon Yellow!
As a Pokemon, Vulpix isn't bad. I mean, he's reasonably quick and he's also got some good special defense! Be careful though, Vulpix has the lowest base HP stat of all Fire-type Pokémon and he's quite vulnerable to ground, rock and water!
Fun Fact: The beta Pokémon names in Red and Blue listed Vulpix as Foxfire.
Ho-Oh is the second legendary on our list and he is a nice fire/flying type Pokemon. It is often considered to be closely related to Lugia as a duo, even sometimes as its polar opposite. Ho-Oh is the cover for both Pokémon Gold and its remake Pokémon Heart Gold, which makes him quite an iconic Pokemon at this stage! I have him in my Pokemon X and he looks better than ever!
Fun Fact: Ho-Oh is the only Legendary Generation II Pokemon to have never appeared in any movie.
Typhlosion evolves from Quilava starting at level 36. It is the final form of Cyndaquil. He is one of the best Pokemon on this list and he is worthy of anybodies starting 6! He is known as a Volcano Pokémon. He was introduced in Generation II and has proved to be a hit with the fans!
Fun Fact: The appearance of this Pokémon is mainly based on the honey badger.
Moltres is our third legendary on this already and I have to say, I think Moltres is the coolest of all the fire-type legendaries. Along with Articuno and Zapdos, it is one of the three Legendary birds of Kanto, probably my favourite of all the three birds! Like Ho-Oh, Moltres is based on the legend of the phoenix. What do you guys think?
Fun Fact: Moltres are all known as the Flame Pokémon.
I was considering putting Ponyta on this list instead of Rapidash, but he's just too bad-ass to leave out of this list. A generation one Pokemon that made every trainer look fabulous and badass all at the same time! Rapidash's base stats show that it's attack is it's best attribute, but it doesn't have great starting HP. It's obviously vulnerable to water, but it's also weak to ground and rock.
Chimchar is by far one of the cutest Pokemon ever in the games history, but he's also a really good Pokemon for his base stats! He was a starter in Diamond & Pearl! I know if I had the game, I would be going straight for this cool dude. He's super very agile and before going to sleep, it extinguishes the flame on its tail to prevent fires.
Fun Fact: It's name comes from being a combination of chimp and charcoal or char (to burn).
Eevee is one of the most beloved Pokemon among the fans, mainly because how can she can evolve so many times but also how cute it is. As you all know, when mixed with a fire stone, Eevee can turn in the fierce, Flareon. A Pokemon, who I think, is still one of the coolest there is. It's simple looking which I think some of the most memorable Pokemon are!
Most of the people I know change Eevee into Jolteon (due to it's speed) but I have to say I'm on the Flareon side of the team. I'm guessing some of you won't agree with having Flareon as number 3, let me know in the comments! He is great for all your starting team, seeing as Flareon has the highest Special Defense base stat of all non-legendary Fire-type Pokémon.
Fun Fact: Flareon is a combination of flare and eon
Arcanine very well be everybody's favorite fire-type canine. He evolves from Growlithe when exposed to a fire stone, like some others on this list. Arcanine is not a Legendary Pokémon but it was seen in an engraving along with Legendary Pokémon Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos in Pokémon Emergency.
Fun Fact: In the Pokémon Red and Blue beta, Arcanine was originally known as Blaze.
Number one on this list is the iconic Charizard. Could you see anything other than this iconic dragon. The coolest thing about Charizard is his longetevity, I mean he's one of the first starters and he's first on this list! Any Pokemon game I get I'm always striving to get a Charmader as soon as possible!
The well-known Charizard used to share the same cry with Rhyhorn but this cry was updated and reused for Mega Charizard Y. Speaking of mega's, Charizard is one of only two Pokémon that has more than one Mega Evolution, the other being Mewtwo.
So there you have it guys! That's my top 10 fire-type Pokemon in all generations, let me know what you guys think and who's your favorite!
