Though we've only recently received DLC content for Star Wars: Battlefront in the form of Outer Rim, June is set to bring us more. The Bespin DLC pack promises to introduce Lando Calrissian and Dengar into the fray, we'll have tons of new maps set on the city in the clouds, along with some new upgrades, weapons and assumedly a new level cap.

But EA and DICE have also promised the release of more free content in the form of updates. When Outer Rim was released, we also saw the arrival of free content even for those who had yet to purchase the DLC, the highlight of which was the introduction of Hutt Contracts. But there's a free update that Bespin desperately needs.

Bespin DLC Update Needs To Introduce Offline Play Into Star Wars: Battlefront

DICE have referenced the release of offline play for Star Wars: Battlefront in the past. Deniis Brännvall took to Twitter in January to give us a bit of insight into how the developers are looking at offline play:

Even [Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens](tag:711158)' John Boyega agreed that Star Wars: Battlefront needed more offline content, or better yet, a singleplayer campaign mode:

"Will fans get a full on offline story mode? It's more of an enjoyable way to learn controls."

He went on to say that the offline content in the base game "definitely leaves you wanting to engage with a narrative." We couldn't agree more, but there's no chance that'll be added until Star Wars: Battlefront II.

As it stands, the singleplayer missions in Star Wars: Battlefront are simplistic and frustrating, especially if you enjoy the chaos of Battlefront's multiplayer maps. The game has needed these locations and game modes to be offline from the beginning. We could have honed our skills against enormous amounts of NPCs and selected difficulty settings to suit our taste. Why it wasn't a feature from the beginning is beyond us, but we're hoping that Bespin will set things right.

What about you guys? What are you looking forward to the most with the arrival of [Star Wars: Battlefront](tag:2684021)'s latest DLC pack? Let us know in the comments.
