Umm... are you going to drink that Skooma?

Journey, thatgamecompany's 2012 smash hit PlayStation 3 exclusive, still stands as a utter phenomenon. A masterclass in silent storytelling, with visuals and a soundtrack that has and continues to wow gamers and non-gamers alike into a state of sheer blissful zen.

There's nothing quite like surfing along the sandy dunes of the game's pilgrimage, admiring the dilapidated aesthetics of past civilizations that loom overhead. I've always wondered how that would feel in real life -- amazing probably.

But until I get the chance to zip along the desert's crests of sand myself, I'll have to leave all robed activity up to cosplayer and artist Angela Bermúdez who has created one of the most resplendent Journey cosplays I've ever seen.

Bermúdez and photographers Essam Elbably & Andrés Herrera traveled out to the Egyptian desert to tackle the heat and this majestic cosplay, and seriously the results are utterly spellbinding.

The costume was a last minute creation and was finished a day before the trip to North Africa.

Bermúdez's incredible homages to video games don't stop there, oh no no. Naturally she also aced the looks of a few other modern day icons and the first lady of Street Fighter:

Bioshock Infinite's Elizabeth

Metal Gear Solid V's Quiet

Street Fighter's Chun Li

If you like what you've seen, get over to Bermúdez's DeviantArt and Facebook pages for more of her impressive work!
