Slowly do the pieces of No Man's Sky's mysteries come together to fill in what could be this year's most wonderfully puzzling game. It feels as if every other week we discover something new about Hello Games' epic journey through the stars, and this time it's the turn of the game's lore to be discussed.
No Man's Sky will be short of a linear narrative; you essentially invent your own story as you traverse the stars. But what the game will have is tons of universal lore. In the video below, Hello Games' Sean Murray discusses the lore of No Man's Sky and the beauty of deciphering the history of an old world from a few interactions with NPCs and alien monoliths, and how the studio came to work with the legendary Dave Gibbons and James Swallow, who worked on Watchmen and Star Trek Voyager respectively:
No Man's Sky will be swooping into PS4s and PCs across the globe on June 21st.
Will you be picking it up?
