It is the remaster we have all been waiting for – Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will be releasing this November as part of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare bundle.

The new version of the world famous Modern Warfare is officially being coined ‘Modern Warfare Remastered’ and aims to provide players with a level of in game fidelity that you would expect to find in any modern generation console game.

The game has been totally overhauled with totally new aesthetics being rendered which will work alongside the latest technological advancements the industry has to offer to produce a game that will sit comfortably alongside the best that this generation has to offer.

vibrant current-generation visuals, with fully improved texture resolution and detail, high-dynamic range lighting, lit and shadowing VFX particles, revamped animation and audio, stunning sound, and much more. - Activision

The remastered version will come complete with the full 2007 campaign as well as all of the original multiplayer maps. This is according to the latest press release although, Activision have only confirmed Crash, Backlot, and Crossfire so far.

And, before you ask – your stats will not have carried over from the original Modern Warfare – its prestige time!

How will it look?

This footage came out of Infinity Wards Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare live stream earlier today. The video captured by DualShockers compares the original, 2007 version against the new remastered 2016 edition. Take a look.

Every tiny detail has been revamped – from bullet holes to shredded masonry it is the total overhaul of one of the world’s best games and I simply can’t wait to jump in.

Interestingly the Modern Warfare Remastered title is being developed by Raven Software, not Infinity Ward. The infinity Ward team kept their focus on Call of Duty: Infinite War. Don’t worry at all though, Raven Software is a subsidiary to Infinity Ward and know their Call of Duty.

To get your hands on Modern Warfare Remastered you will have to buy Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. I wonder what the servers will look like on launch day? More Infinite Warfare or more Modern Warfare Remastered? What do you think?

Is this the news you have been waiting years for?
