For the first time ever an Infinity Ward game will include zombies. The new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be the first ever Infinity Ward game to ship with a zombies mode.
According to Activision this years zombies mode will take place outside of the campaign mode – as in to say that it will not be connected to it in anyway. The aim is to provide players with another brand new, unique zombies experience.

Zombies were first introduced by Treyarch back in 2008 in Call of Duty: World at War. Since then the zombies premise has come on leaps and bounds with zombies becoming a desirable entity all on its own. Infinity Ward usually opted for survival modes instead where in waves of soldiers, not zombies would attempt to overwhelm the players. Whether or not this will also be included in Infinite Warfare is yet to be seen.
Call of Duty zombies has been voiced by a number of different high profile Hollywood actors throughout the years – the likes of Jeff Goldblum, Bill Paxton, Heather Graham and John Malkovich have all put their talents to the game. With this release promising to be the biggest Infinity Ward title in years I suspect that this year’s zombie mode will be no exception to Hollywood flair.
In a live stream this morning Infinity Ward teased us with our first screen shot of the upcoming zombie mode. It doesn’t give much away but it certainly is exciting to see tangible evidence of the undead in an Infinity Ward title.
This year’s Call of Duty is set to rock the box offices with a brand new ‘revolutionary’ campaign mode, zombies and the remastered version of Modern Warfare – this is not a year you are gonna wanna miss grabbing Call of Duty!
