The domestic premiere of Captain America: Civil War (2016) is less than a few hours away. Soon, the whole world will be talking about the events set to happen in Captain America: Civil War. But before that happens, more promotional footage for the film has been released in the form of an 8-bit companion trailer. Which has been remade in the likeness of the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War (2016).

Despite the excellence in this 8-bit, shot-for-shot remake of the trailer for Captain America: Civil War, the video embedded above also gives us a look at what an arcade video game based on Captain America: Civil War would look like.
8-bit video games were at the pinnacle of the gaming community upon their premiere in the '80s. However, a massive influx of new technologies has further developed video games from the 8-bit video games of the '80s to the advanced, integrated gaming tools of today.
But this presentation of an 8-bit trailer for Captain America: Civil War brings to light the prospect of Marvel brand, video games.
Marvel needs more companion gaming to their feature films.
In the past years, Marvel has struggled with video games attached to their featured films. Failures of the past have amounted to the Captain America: The First Avenger, companion video game and others alike failing to meet the lowest of expectations. Even die-hard fans of Marvel probably wouldn't be able to recollect any bits of information from the video game or others alike.
With that being said, Marvel's feature films aren't getting the loyal adaptations they deserve in their companion video game series. To remedy this dilemma, Marvel could revert to using old technologies to gain further interest from fans of the Marvel franchise.
Now, it wouldn't be ideal for Marvel to consider this prospect, at first. But having a small 8-bit arcade style, video game based on Captain America: Civil War would likely have fans scurrying to download the attached, video game. Captain America: Civil War is popular enough without more merchandising, but the idea of a companion video game that wouldn't require the cost of production on a major titled video game, could definitely appeal to the gaming audience, as well as providing a new avenue for another demographic to explore within the Marvel brand.
Marvel needs to bank on that idea. The technology is compatible, and loyal fans of Marvel could definitely find some intrigue in the possibility of a Captain America: Civil War, based video game. Retro gaming has made a comeback in recent years, utilizing the format of 8-bit gaming with trending topics would make the Marvel brand more appealing to the gaming audience, even if those fans only find interest in Marvel because of the companion video-games.
