Our favorite attorney is back! Phoenix Wright and his crew of defense attorneys return in the newest entry of the hit Nintendo franchise! Check out the trailer below if you haven't already.

For those unfamiliar with Ace Attorney franchise, the games center around Phoenix Wright, a defense attorney who squarely believes in the concept of innocent until proven guilty, and who will do everything in his power to prove his client's innocence.

The mechanics of the game follow an interesting flow chart--you follow Wright through different court cases, each one a mystery (usually murder), and as the defense attorney, it is up to you to prove your client's innocence! In order to do this, you explore crime scenes, find evidence, and take them to court.

This is where the fun begins.

Following a simplistic-gamiefied court procedural technique, you listen to witness testimony, and then press them for more information until you find a contradiction in their statements with some piece of evidence that you possess--which furthers the case until the truth has finally been reached.

The newest installment of the franchise, Ace Attorney 6: Spirit of Justice, puts Wright and his protogé Apollo Justice back into court, and the incoming story and features will prove to be one of the most daring place that the series has been taken!

In Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice, players get to follow both Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice as they handle cases in two different areas of the world. Phoenix is in the Kingdom of Khura’in, where Divination Séances and Royal Priestess’ Insight allow people to see the end of a victim’s life during trials. Meanwhile, Apollo is working in the Wright Anything Agency in Los Angeles on his own case.
