Today Nintendo released a statement that the new Legend of Zelda game for Wii U will be playable at the Nintendo World Store in NYC for 500 fans between Tuesday, June 14th and Sunday, June 19.

Unfortunately for most, it looks like only 500 dedicated fans will get to actually play the game:

Only the first 500 eligible people in line when Nintendo NY opens at 9 a.m. ET will receive a wristband that they can exchange for a ticket, which guarantees them a spot to play the game during selected times June 14-19.

However, for the rest of us peons that won't be able to wait in line, "Nintendo experts" will be giving live game demonstrations on the big screen for everyone at the event to watch. There will even be Legend of Zelda trivia where fans who have memorized way too many strategy guides can win (presumably Zelda-themed prizes). They will also be streaming footage from the Zelda booth at E3.
