Pac-Man 256 launches on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One in about a month. Bandai Namco Entertainment has scheduled a June 21 release. This console port of the mobile game will include local co-op multiplayer which will make Pac-Man 256 a fun choice for sitting on the couch with friends.

All three new versions will allow up racing with four players around the endless maze together as they avoid ghosts and a pixel monstrosity that doesn’t seem exactly happy with you.

Pac-Man 256 also includes social media integration, if you’re into that sort of thing, and additional console themes. Bandai Namco says the game will be available for $4.99 in June.

Pac-Man 256 has been a hit on iOS and Android since last year. Who doesn’t enjoy Pac-Man? I have logged a surprising amount of time on the Steam version of Pac-Man Championship Edition DX.

Both Pac-Man 256 and Championship Edition are super easy to open up and lose almost half an hour because of the addictive gameplay and frenetic pace. The game is inspired by the infamously glitchy 256th level of Pac-Man’s arcade version.
