Can you believe Half-Life 2 has been around since 2004? Boy, do I feel old. On top of that, Half-Life 2: Episode One is celebrating its 10-year anniversary tomorrow! In honor of over 10 years of Half-Life 2, let's take a look at some of the best moments of Half-Life 2: Episode One! Please be aware that there are spoilers surrounding the storyline of Half-Life 2: Episode One, so if you've waited ten years to not play this game, but you still want to, I'd suggest not reading past this sentence.

"Good throw, Dog!"

Right at the beginning of the game, Gordon and Alyx are trying to find a way over to the citadel to stabilize its core. With no way across the bottomless pit, Dog thinks of a crazy idea to throw the two of them across the bottomless pit in a beat-up car. Best part? It actually worked! Well, until the car fell into a hole. It made for one heck of a roller coaster.

"God, I hope you don't remember who you were."

I love the part right after you restore the the containment system at the citadel's core. After stealing some files, including a message from Judith Mossman, Gordon and Alyx make a run for it to the Razor Trains that run to and from the city. All is well until Alyx realizes that this Razor Train is a stalker transport. It's such a powerful moment. Well, that is until the train goes off the tracks and the Stalkers wake up. They're not so peaceful anymore!

"Oh my God, the transmission's going out!"

And for the glorious finale, who can forget the cliff-hanger ending? Alyx and Gordon finally escape City 17 via a train. It seems like our heroes are victorious until suddenly the citadel sends one last transmission. Looks like the containment system's done for! The screen whites out with the citadel's explosion, leaving the player wondering if Gordon and Alyx really made it out alive.

So those are three of the most memorable moments in Half-Life 2: Episode 2. For you other Half-Life fans out there, what are you favorite moments in the game? Do you know of any cool Easter eggs? Sound off in the comments below!
