Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, an HD remaster of Final Fantasy XII coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 consoles in 2017. Final Fantasy XII was originally released for the PlayStation 2 back in 2006.

Along with remastered graphics, Kotaku reports that Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will be bringing the Zodiac job system to the west for the first time. It will also include a new trial mode that will see players challenge enemies in up to 100 successive battles. Furthermore, the original score has been be re-recorded, with the option for players to switch between the original and remastered soundtracks.

According to IGN.com, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will be playable at E3, so expect more news and impressions on the game in the coming weeks.
