We've been getting more and more coverage of Yooka-Laylee — the spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie — over the past few weeks and it's getting fans super excited for more news for the upcoming indie title at E3. It's a shame that Playtonic Games, the developers of Yooka-Laylee, just announced that the release date will be pushed back from October of this year to Q1 2017:
"We’re sure some will be disappointed by the prospect of a few extra months’ wait, however the team is confident that we’ve made the right decision for the game and that you’ll be pleased with the results when Yooka-Laylee arrives early next year."
Take your time, guys. We still love you.
To make up for the sad news, the official Yooka-Laylee website was updated with new, polished screenshots and a new trailer (with gameplay)!

How do you feel about the game's delay?
Honestly, if they want to take their time and delay the game to give us an even better final product (which is hard to even imagine), then I say let them take as long as they need.
