Earlier this week we saw the grand reveal for Ubisoft’s open world smash, Watch Dogs 2. Watch Dogs 2 returns with radical changes taking the usual release spot of Assassin’s Creed. The new game features an all new protagonists in an all new location.

Ubisoft have swapped out the original protagonist Aiden Piece for Marcus Holloway. After complaints from fans that Aiden was never truly that relatable as a character, Ubisoft have gone another way.

Holloway has been crafted by the team to be likeable and relatable; the story sees our new hero kept isolated from society for a crime he didn't commit.

The setting has also changed; Holloway will have to make his way in the beautiful city of San Francisco. San Francisco is certainly a world away from the sterile streets of Chicago we saw in the first game.

The launch trailer showcased a multitude of different environments and locations. The stunning world design alone sets Watch dogs 2 giant leaps ahead of its predecessor.

Take a look at the following video that takes you on a tour of San Francisco and compares the real world locations to that of Watch Dogs 2 – at times its hard to tell which is which.

Things are certainly looking up for Watch Dogs fans. This new title is looking like it has addressed all the downfalls of the original and promises to be a brilliant step in for Assassin’s Creed.

What do you make of Watch Dogs 2 so far?
