Thousands tuned into to Bethesda's pre-E3 press conference yesterday to see what the developer would reveal. Tons of fans patiently awaited news on games such as DOOM, Dishonored 2, Skyrim, and, yes, Fallout 4.
Fallout 4, the long-awaited sequel to the critically acclaimed Fallout 3, came out last year to the excitement of many fans. Now, a year has gone by since its E3 2015 announcement, and fans still want more with their Wasteland experience!
Not to say that Bethesda hasn't already given us enough; the very fact that Fallout 4 exists is enough to make us happy. Add to that content like the Far Harbor DLC and the ability to make your own mechs, and we've already had an incredible gaming experience!
But, luckily for us, Bethesda knows how to keep on delivering! During this year's conference, the developer revealed info on a bunch of awesome new content coming to Fallout 4! "Like what," you ask? Well, for starters...
Coming soon to Fallout 4, you'll be able to showcase your armor in the coolest way imaginable. Take your epic battle armor and put it on an armor rack for when you aren't using it to take on a horde of ghouls or super mutants.
If you have some of your survivor friends over, you can put your armor on display and show them just how much cooler you are than they! Armor racks also make carrying large amounts of armor a lot easier. Got some cool armor on but found another pair of cool armor that's too heavy? Just put your old armor on a rack and wear the new armor! This will really help surviving in the Wasteland a lot easier.
Also coming to Fallout 4 are track kits, which serve no purpose in battle whatsoever! Track kits look to be purely for the player's enjoyment, so people looking for some sort of assist in battle will find nothing here. But who says players can't have a little fun in the Wasteland every once in a while?
Players will be able to create their own makeshift Rube Goldberg machines and experiment with them. You can even use them to launch items from one end to another and put them in sorting machines! I can't wait to see what kind of strange tracks I can design when this DLC hits.
The Ability to Build Your Own Vault!
Perhaps the most exciting feature coming to Fallout 4, players will soon be able to make their own vaults! Bethesda showed off this great upcoming feature, revealing how players can build structures within the vault and invite survivors to live in it.
You can even "experiment on the dwellers," similar to how you interact with them in the Fallout Shelter app. The ability to create your own vault and defend it from raiders and mutated creatures has been something that Fallout players have wanted for a long time, which makes this DLC much appreciated!
Here's a weird upcoming feature: a new location called Nuka World. Appearing near the end of the DLC update trailer, Bethesda gave us our first look at this new Wasteland theme park based on the famous Nuka Cola drink found throughout the Fallout franchise.
Not much is known about this DLC, but one can assume that it will come with new side quests to fulfill in the theme park. Perhaps it will even let you make your own rides?
The official trailer for the upcoming Fallout 4 updates includes even more awesome Fallout DLC, including conveyor belts and elevators! It also features a bunch of awesome updates coming to Fallout Shelter. Check out the trailer below, and make sure to get all of these awesome updates when they release in the coming weeks!
