We Happy Few might be one of the creepiest games we've ever seen, and it relies much more on its terrifying atmosphere than jump scares. We've been drip-fed information and gameplay clips since the game was successfully Kickstarted on July 4th, 2015 - but at E3 2016, we got some new clips highlighting this creepy-as-all-hell bad trip through a drug-fueled, psychedelic, dystopian 1964 England. It totally stole the show at E3.

From the new E3 We Happy Few gameplay trailer, we see our protagonist undergoing the first parts of his transition off the ever-happy drug 'Joy'.

Oh, here's our creepy colleague saying hello

Walking through the halls, we stumble upon this violent scene

We are invited to hit a piñata - but, wait... blood?

Oh, that's why there's blood. Um...

Once we realize the drug 'Joy' has wore off, the ACTUAL fun police come to hunt us down

And, man, the fun police are creepy as sh*t

So, yeah. Welcome to the weird, clown make-up filled horror sideshow that is We Happy Few

Where everyone is happy. So, very happy.

Or else.

We Happy Few will release June, 2016 and will be available for PC, Mac, and Xbox One.
