It has been confirmed that the upcoming Spider-Man movie, Homecoming, will star one of the video game industry's best-ever bad guys. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Spider-Man: Homecoming will be adding none other than Michael Mando to its cast list.
Mando is probably better known to non-gamers for his roles in Better Call Saul and Rookie Blue, but, for those of you that do dabble in the interactive arts, you will know Mando best as Vaas. Vaas is the main antagonist in Far Cry 3, and Mando’s epic portrayal of this psychopathic kidnapper catapulted both the character and the actor to international acclaim.
Mando’s intense and utterly beguiling performance in Far Cry 3 went down in brilliant infamy as one of gaming’s best — and now most iconic — portrayals of a bad guy ever. Not necessarily because of who his character was but for how incredibly scary he was able to make the character.
Take a look at (just some of) Mando's scariest scenes. He is one evil S.O.B!
If you've played Far Cry 3, you know that Vaas is as intimidating as he is intense; he is a calculating scoundrel with an equal thirst for blood and money (often settling for both).
Mando is set to join Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), and Marisa Tomei (Aunt May) in 2017’s next big superhero movie. Whether Mando will play a good guy or a bad guy is still yet to be seen.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will focus on Peter Parker as he navigates the new world post Captain America: Civil War. Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming could be the box office smash of 2017. Everyone loves a good Spidey adventure and, so far, the cast is looking damn solid.
