Red Dead Redemption 2 (3), as expected, did not make an appearance at E3 this year — disappointing but expected. A new discovery on the Xbox One Game Store, however, has reignited the flames of suspicion amongst fans.
Keen-eyed Redittors have discovered that the page for Red Dead Redemption on the Xbox Game Store has been very recently updated. The details on the page support the notion that the Western classic will be available on Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox Scorpio very soon, presumably via the backwards compatibility program.
It is predicted that Red Dead Redemption will be the next game to be available on Gold in July, and that, following that, Red Dead Redemption 2 (3) will finally be announced.
Either way, this discovery certainly hints to the fact that one Red Dead or another will be making its way to Xbox very soon.
Another theory circulating across the net right now is that the original Red Dead Redemption seen on the Xbox Game Store will not be available via Gold, but rather it will only be accessible as a pre-order bonus for the new Red Dead Redemption 2 (3), which is awaiting imminent release.
This latest bout of conjecture comes just weeks after rumors spread that Sony had dropped the grand Red Dead 2 (3) reveal from it E3 press conference due to the tragic events that unfolded in Orlando.
Given that this is genuinely one of the most anticipated gaming sequels in history, it is not a surprise to see overzealous fans jumping to the most exciting conclusion. But, until Rockstar officially announces the next installment of Red Dead Redemption, I guess we are just going to have to wait.
Sure is exciting about that updated page on Xbox Store, though. What do you think it means?
