It's arrived, folks — the moment we've all been waiting for. Street Fighter V's long-awaited story mode is readying itself for download, and is bringing along two new characters to contend with the age-old scrap between good and evil.
Called "A Shadow Falls," SFV's story mode is set between the events of Street Fighter III and Street Fighter IV, and will see badasses of the World Warriors square off against the dastardly Shadaloo and all their nefarious deeds.
Street Fighter V: A Shadow Falls
Taking place over five acts, "A Shadow Falls" is a series-first cinematic story mode for Street Fighter. It will have you taking control of all 16 core characters — not forgetting the six DLC characters — who will arrive over the course of the year in separate scuffles across the globe.
Take a look at the trailer and see what you think:
This looks crazy tense! You see that look on Chun-Li's face at the end? The pressure is well and truly on!
New Challengers Approach
Most exciting, though, is the inclusion of the DLC's two new characters Ibuki and the legendary Balrog. Both characters haven't been seen since Super Street Fighter IV, so it will be great to have them back in the fold. Balrog is such a badass; memories of taking him on in Street Fighter II instantly spring to mind.
Alongside "A Shadow Falls" and the two new contenders comes a whole host of other goodies, such as two new stages in Balrog's Las Vegas stage and Ibuki's Beach Resort stage, new premium costumes for all fighters, and improvements to online matchmaking.
Well that's my evening sorted!
