How to get Project Distruption loading screen cards
League's Ashe, Ekko, and Katarina Project skins all come with special loading screen cards that can be crafted. Sit back, because this can get a little complicated.
First, the easy part. You have to own the skin and, of course, the champion. So cough up the RP for that. There will be special bundle deals if you want to pick up everything.
Second, you have to craft a special icon unique to that champion. That comes in two phases. In phase 1, between August 2 and August 16 you have to buy a crafting cache from the in-game store specific to that champion for either 750 IP or 75 RP that will give you a blueprint for the icon.
In phase 2, between August 9 and August 16 you can purchase a DISRUPTION Cache for either 1500 IP or 150 RP that will have the crafting material you need to fuse with the blueprint and finish the icon.
Once the first strike icon is finished, you will get the first strike loading screen for that character when you play their Project Overdrive skin. Just remember to finish everything by August 16th.
One more note: Yasuo has a first strike loading card that you get just for buying his skin. No crafting necessary!
New Project Disruption icons and wards
All 9 Project champs will have forum icons for sale as well for 250 RP each and there are also two new Project Overdrive-themed wards for sale at 640 RP each.
And to celebrate the theme, all minions in the game will be Project Overdrive-themed as well from Aug 2-16th!
Project: Merch Quest
Riot is rolling out Project Overdrive-themed merchandise to go with all this, but one piece stands out among the t-shirts, wristbands, and mousepads. The $45 hoodie can only be purchased if you log in to the game and play three matchmade games while using a Project Overdrive skin, ward skin, or summoner icon by Aug 15.
Hey, at least they gave you a cheap way out with the summoner icon.
