With new #Batman video games coming every year, we're left to wonder what's new after the Arkham franchise. And with the Batman: Arkham VR coming out in 2017 as well as the new Batman Telltale series being released in 2016, we are in no way short of games starring the Caped Crusader. But we still must take the time to pay tribute to the Batman games we played over the years, which were great! Here they are in no particular order.

Check out the trailer below for the Batman Arkham VR.

1. Batman: Arkham Asylum

The game that started it all! This is where we first get to witness the Batman and #Joker relationship. The combat is really good, the gameplay is nice and the graphics are just OK. But you can also fight and perform stealth takedowns, there are upgrades, and neat gadgets along the way as the story progresses.

Check out the trailer below.

2. Batman: Arkham City

This game is way better than its predecessor Arkham Asylum. The main villain is #HugoStrange, followed by the Joker. Strange finds way to challenge the Dark Knight, once and for all. The gameplay is fantastic, the combat is amazing and the graphics are superb. The storyline is also great! This is a must-play if you're a true Batman fan.

Check out the trailer below.

3. Batman: Arkham Origins

While this game suffered a poor reception from fans and critics alike, it was actually awesome! I particularly loved the boss fights, especially with #Deathstroke, and you also have side missions to keep you busy, and a map that was a lot bigger than with the last game. And fighting thugs is just way cool.

Check out the trailer below.

4. Batman: Arkham Knight

This was one of the best games released in 2013 and stands at top of the list of the Arkham series. The graphics are astounding, the gameplay impressive and the combat fast paced. As for the storyline? Amazing! This game was critically acclaimed and the fans loved it. But the bad thing was that it was released on next-gen consoles, like Xbox One. The game's villain is the #Scarecrow.

Here's the trailer:

DC has made many video games over the years and we can only wonder at what will come after Batman: Arkham VR. With rumors of a Superman game being developed by Warner Bros., and new next gen consoles being developed like Xbox One VR and Oculus, we are in for one crazy ride!
