Oh joy of joys. Oh sweet rapture. Tell me it's true.
Mads Mikkelsen, Danish actor renowned for his performances in Hannibal (2013 - 2015), Casino Royale (2006), Valhalla Rising (2009) and The Hunt (2012), appears to have joined Norman Reedus for Hideo Kojima's latest game, Death Stranding.
Death Stranding was revealed at E3 2016 with a truly bizarre trailer. The contents of this trailer have been analyzed extensively and fans are deliriously excited to see what becomes of Kojima's career following his departure from Konami and Metal Gear Solid. But if these images really show Mads Mikkelsen in a motion-capture studio with Hideo Kojima, our excitement is about to explode.

It appears to show an actor in a motion-capture studio, but we can't really derive anything from this alone. However, when coupled with this fan Instagram photo of Mikkelsen in the same kind of orange hoodie with grey lining, the mystery seems to unravel rather quickly.
The fan claims he ran into Mikkelsen in Sheffield, where he was apparently "acting in a video game," a "Japanese game" no less.
Kojima has expressed his admiration for Mikkelsen's work in the past, most notably when he called the Danish man his "favorite actor" in the below Tweet.
