Fantastic news for horror fans everywhere as indie fan favorite, Allison Road is put back into production.
Allison Road was the horror game the entire gaming world needed. Announced on Kickstarter shortly after the cancellation of Hideo Kojima's horror extravaganza P.T., this indie horror took advantage of the craving left by its cancellation and provided fans with a genuinely terrifying alternative.
With fans desperately crying out for more paranormal, psychedelic horror experiences the popularity of Alison Road rose higher by the day.
Alas, the crowdfunded, P.T.-inspired horror was unfortunately axed at the beginning of the year and despite a full joint statement of cancellation we never really knew why the collaboration broke down.
However, it would seem that the horror that lay dormant in the Allison Road story has risen from its slumber. Speaking with IGN, Christian Kesler announced to the world that Allison Road has indeed been resurrected and will be coming out of a new studio called Far From Home.
I’m actually really happy to be able to announce that [Allison Road] will continue. We had a lot of support online and some folks out there are just incredibly nice.
Kesler will apparently be working on the product alone as most of the development is already completed. We are still unsure what caused the collaboration to break down the first time around but hopefully, as he is working alone, we can say with a large amount of certainty that this time we might see this promising project make it to horrifying fruition.
Bring on the horror! Are you happy that Allison Road is back in production?
