Hey everyone sorry I haven't wrote a article in a while but I have been waiting for more info so the article wouldn't be extremely short, that and I have been dealing with other stuff, but I am back to give you all the information that was released since my last article. So without further ado lets go...
So we have a lot to go over and I am gonna start with the new Pokémon.
Turtonator tahe Blast Turtle Pokémon is a Fire/Dragon type, with the ability Shell Armor. According to the Pokémon website, "Because Turtonator lives on volcanoes, feeding on sulfur and other materials found near volcanic craters, its shell has a layer of explosive material—mostly sulfur. When something strikes this Pokémon, sparks fly from the horns on its shell, igniting an explosion! In areas around volcanic craters, this Pokémon camouflages itself as a rock and waits for prey. At the moment when its prey steps onto the back of its shell, Turtonator strikes its shell with its own tail, triggering an explosion! The explosive blasts triggered from Turtonator’s back are released through an orifice located on the middle front of the Pokémon’s body. This is Turtonator’s weak point. Attacks landing on its stomach will cause it a great deal of damage." Turtornator has a signature move called Shell Trap, Shell Trap allows the Pokémon to set a trap at the beginning of battle and if Turtornator is hit by a physical attack Shell Trap will cause a giant explosion dealing greater damage.
Crabrawler the boxing Pokémon is a Fighting type. although it should be a Water and Fighting Type, with the ability Hyper Cutter or Iron Fist. According to the Pokémon website "Crabrawler has a personality that really hates to lose, and it’s driven not only to aim for a higher position than its fellows in terms of social standing, but literally to aim for a higher position in the landscape. Perhaps as a result, it’s sometimes found clinging to tall people or to the walls of buildings! If you try to remove one against its will, you’ll be met with a sound punch. Crabrawler’s favorite food is Berries. It punches the trunks of trees to give the branches a good shake and knock any ripe Berries to the ground so it can feast! Many Crabrawler may gather around a tree, but only the one that emerges victorious in battle against all the others receives the privilege of eating the ripe Berries. Crabrawler uses its claws to protect its face and belly while getting in close to an opponent to throw punches. Its punches are powerful enough to split tree trunks! Crabrawler’s pincers are sometimes torn off during its bouts—and they are said to be delicious."
Alolan Rattata is a Normal/Dark type, with the ability Gluttony or Hustle. According to the Pokémon website "Alolan Rattata’s form changed as a result of their battle for territory with Yungoos. Unlike ordinary Rattata, urban areas are Alolan Rattata’s main habitat. They are nocturnal and live in nests of several dozen. Alolan Raticate serve as their bosses. As a countermeasure to the exploding Rattata population in the Alola region, Yungoos were imported and released. To better avoid Yungoos, Rattata changed their preferred environments and circadian rhythms. These adaptations to their new environment led to a changed form. Alolan Rattata have an excellent capacity for sniffing out delicious fresh foods in Alola. They pay no attention to foods that aren’t fresh."
Alolan Raticate is a Dark/Normal type and has the ability Gluttony or Hustle. According to the Pokémon website "Because urban areas are their main habitat, their diet is higher in calories than ordinary Raticate. As a result, they have become hefty. Alolan Raticate prefers to eat only fresh fruits and high-class ingredients. There are rumors that a certain top-notch restaurant takes advantage of Alolan Raticate’s taste buds by bringing it along when choosing ingredients to buy, and having it taste test new dishes. Alolan Raticate continually stockpile huge amounts of food in their nests. They mostly prefer to send out Alolan Rattata to gather food while they themselves stay home in their nests and just eat.
I will talk about this more later, but, Alolan Raticate is the Totem Pokémon of the trial that takes place in Verdant Cavern on Melemele Island in Pokémon Moon.* It summons Rattata to help it confront those who take on the trial.
Jangmo-o is the Scaly Pokémon and is a pure Dragon type, and has the ability Bulletproof or Soundproof. According to the Pokémon website "Jangmo-o has the pride of a warrior, although it remains humble about its capabilities. In its pursuit to become stronger, it never neglects its training. Because Jangmo-o uses the scales on its head for both offense and defense, it never turns its back to its enemies. Many Trainers see this behavior and take it as proof that Jangmo-o is a valiant Pokémon. Jangmo-o gather in harsh locales like canyons, where no other people or Pokémon are around, to live together as they train."
This is the most interesting Pokémon, Type: Null is the Synthetic Pokémon and is a Normal type with the Ability Battle Armor. According to the Pokémon website "This Pokémon wearing a mask has been dubbed “Null,” meaning nothing. The shapes of its front and hind legs are clearly different. The reason is that Type: Null was constructed to synthesize the strengths of various Pokémon, enabling it to adapt to any situation. The mask fitted to Type: Null’s head is a piece of equipment designed to control its latent powers. It’s extremely heavy, so it also serves to hinder Type: Null’s agility. To complete a certain mission, there was need of a Pokémon powerful enough to rival those Pokémon often spoken of in mythology."
That wasn't the last of the new Pokémon there is one more, however the last one I am saving for last. Next I want to talk about new characters The Aether Foundation, the Aether goal is to care for hurt Pokémon. The artificial island in the middle of the map, is called the Aether Paradise, they provide shelter for the Pokémon they take in, but also conduct research. It seems that you can visit the Aether Paradise sometime during your adventure.
The President of the Aether Foundation Lusamine.
The Aether Foundation branch chief Faba.
The assistant branch chief Wicke.
The Employees of Aether Foundation.
A new Team Skull member has been introduced as well, his name is Gladion. Gladion is Team Skulls enforcer his partner Pokémon is Type:Null.
So apparently Sun and Moon are 12 hours apart. As per usual some of the Pokémon that appear in each games are a little different, it also seems like The Totem Pokémon are different as well. There will still be a day/night cycle but they are different in each game, in Sun the time is tied with your 3DS however in Moon it is shifted 12 hours. In a few scenes the time will change as it is part of the story.
A little bit ago when we found out that Zygarde can be obtained in Sun and Moon, a bunch of Youtubers speculated that you might be able to gather the Zygarde cores and cells and apparently they were right, two new characters by the names Dexio and Sina will show up as you progress through the story, if you don't remember these two were the professors assistant in X and Y. They will give you the Zygarde Cube and ask you to collect Zygarde Cores and cells. Objects giving off a light can be found in various locations these are the Zygarde Cells and Cores. If you collect enough you may be able to find Zygarde.
A new feature that the rotom dex can perform is Poké Finder, this allows you to take pictures of Pokémon you find, as you get better at taking pictures new abilities like zooming become available. It also seems like other people can rate your pictures. You can also take a picture of rare Pokémon.
Those who purchase Sun and Moon by Wednesday, January 1, 2017 are eligible to receive via Internet connection a Munchlax that evolves into "Pulverizing Snorlax". This Munchlax will be holding a exclusive Z-stone called Snorlium Z. When holding Snorlium Z Snorlax can use its own Z-move called "Pulverizing Pancake"
Alolan Raichu also has its own Z-move called Stoked Sparksurfer.
Finally, rumors have been flying around in the Alola region, about creatures known as Ultra Beasts, they possess mighty powers and might pose a threat. According to rumors they are multiple Ultra Beasts each with their own name.
A specific Ultra Beast that was revealed is thought to be the rumored Marshadow, but it has not been confirmed. This Ultra Beast is currently called UB-01, according to the Pokémon website "UB-01’s body is composed of a glass-like substance. However, it’s constantly changing shapes, never settling on one. While evidence of something like a survival instinct can be observed in UB-01, no one knows whether it has a will of its own or any emotions. It’s said that, for some reason, its movements resemble those of a young girl."
Well thats it guys, have a fantastic day/week/month/life/etc.
