Five Nights at Freddy's was an indie-horror game that took the world by storm when it was released in August of 2014. Since then, the franchise has grown by an additional four games, a spinoff game, a novel, and a number of toys. But not only that, there is a movie based on the game, set to be released on to-be-determined future date.

Knowing how movies based on video games tend to perform with fans and at the box office, there is not much hope for this one. But something that we can look forward to are the movie cameos. There is no casting confirmation set for the film release, but here are five people we would love to see in the movie version of Five Nights at Freddy's.

5. Scott Cawthon

Out of everyone on this list, Cawthon is the one most likely to make an appearance in the movie. Why is that? Because Cawthon is the creator of FNAF. He has been there since the very beginning. A little fun fact? Cawthon voices the Phone Guy in the games! With his strong connection to the world of Freddy, there is all the likelihood that Cawthon could make an appearance.

4. Smike

Michael "Smike" Shaevitch is an avid YouTuber who currently has more than a million subscribers to his channel. Smike is perhaps best known for making top 10 videos on everything in the FNAF universe, from Foxy to the Cupcake. No matter how ridiculous his YouTube creations are, Smike's videos, along with the occasional theory video thrown in for good measure, have made him a recognizable entity within the YouTube community. Even if he had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo, it would be a nice Easter Egg for us dedicated followers.

3. PewDiePie

PewDiePie's real name is Felix Kjellberg.

PewDiePie is best known for having the most subscribers on YouTube, with around 48.4 million people clicking in. Say what you will about Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, you have to admit that he is extremely successful and is a vlogging pioneer. He is famed for having played at least the first three FNAF games. So with that, as well as for having the most subscribed YouTube channel, it would make sense to add PewDiePie to the roster of the coming movie.

2. MatPat From Game Theory

Matthew Patrick, or MatPat as he's known on YouTube, runs the highly successful channel The Game Theorists, which has been around since 2009. MatPat delivers a weekly deep dive and theorizing into our favorite games. And what just so happens to be one of the most popular, most requested video game franchises that The Game Theorists has covered on multiple occasions? That's right, Five Nights at Freddy's. There are currently 10 videos on the channel dedicated to this game. MatPat also has a show on YouTube Red called MatPat's Game Lab, where he's explored the world of the FNAF-styled gameplay. So with his knowledge of this franchise, it seems ridiculous for MatPat to be left out.

1. Markiplier

Known as the "king of Five Nights at Freddy's," while Mark Fishchbach, a.k.a Markiplier, was already a popular YouTube gamer, this game was what really put him on the map. Indeed, every time an FNAF game is published on his channel, his subscriber count skyrockets. Having also been called "the franchise's own Jesus," what made Markiplier so popular when this game came out was that he attempted, and completed, the game's seventh night, which was a custom night set at the most difficult level of all. For a long time it was said that this seventh night was unbeatable. That is, until Markiplier proved the naysayers wrong. Where The Game Theorists have 10 FNAF videos, Markiplier has more than 40! It's hard to think of Markiplier as not making a cameo in this movie, as his channel has brought so much free promotion to the game.

So there you have it, five cameo casting suggestions for the Five Nights at Freddy's movie. Again, none of these people are confirmed for the cast. These are, as Game Theorists say, "just a theory."

So what do you think? Do you want to see any of these cameos? Is there someone who was left out that you think would be a better fit for the movie? Should this movie even happen? Leave your thoughts down below, and let me leave you with the trailer for the latest game Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location, which was release October 7.

Which cameo would you prefer in the 'Five Nights At Freddy's' movie?
