The much-speculated upon and highly anticipated sequel to one of the greatest games of all time may be making its grand entrance into the world at this year's #PlayStation Experience event, set to kick off on December 3. Which would be one hell of a way to close a troubled year.
NeoGAF user and supposed industry veteran shinobi602 dropped the bombshell earlier today in a post that was swiftly taken down on the forum, but thankfully not before it was screen-grabbed by the guys over on ThisGenGaming.
The vanished thread comes off the back of a wealth of disappointment after #TheLastofUs2 was a no-show at this E3 2016. But a tiny shred of hope may have been restored by shinobi602's revelation that we may not need to hold our breath that much longer for a long awaited reveal.
Master of Leaks
I can imagine you're slightly skeptical when it comes to news of a perfectly silent game, but shinobi602 has been privvy to a fair few big happenings in the industry. They announced Skyrim would be getting the remaster treatment before that was confirmed by Bethesda. And shinobi602 most recently revealed God of War 4 would be making an appearance at E3 2016.
Now that the dust has settled on Uncharted 4, you'd expect the timing to be perfect for The Last of Us 2. Could it be the big reveal in attempt to combat Nintendo Switch eating up all of the early excitement 2017 has to offer?
