It's the holiday season and, not content with giving us two early gifts in the form of trailers for #TheLastOfUsPart2 and the single-player DLC gameplay for #Uncharted4, Naughty Dog has added the fan-favorite co-op Survival mode to its multiplayer for the latter.
The #Uncharted4 multiplayer is still serious fun, thanks to the fact that #NaughtyDog is constantly updating and changing things up. All the updates are free and although there are in-game items you must pay for, those same items are also available for free if you play long and well enough.
A co-op addition to the multiplayer game has been on the cards for a while now, as evidenced by the multiplayer road map Naughty Dog published on the game's release. However, the big reveal only occurred a couple of weeks ago and you can check out the trailer below.
- Uncharted 4 Is Almost Here: Catch Up With The Story So Far!
- The Last of Us 2: Exploring the Meaning Behind Ellie's Tattoo (With a Little Help From Biology)
- Drake's Misfortune: Sony Remove The 'Uncharted' Movie From Their Release Schedule
The game will allow up to three players to work together in a bid to overcome 50 waves of enemies, interspersed with challenges and boss battles in the form of the ghosts of the dead pirates from the #Uncharted4 story. Interestingly, the mode also offers an option to play the game solo, with an A.I. character taking the place of one of your friends.
Keen observers at this year's #PSX (those not completely blinded by the sight of Ellie and Joel, that is!) may have spotted some gameplay footage of the new mode with a commentary on how it works.
