Warning: This will contain spoilers for Injustice and issues #1 and #2 of the Injustice 2 comic book.

Injustice 2 will be released on and on May 16th, 2017, following NeatherRealm's Injustice: Gods Among Us. What makes this game so special isn't just the gameplay, but the awesome story that comes along with it. Not only does the game have a major story, but DC Comics also put out a prequel series that shows the events that lead up to the game.

In both the series and the game, there were some important deaths. The first game (as well as the comic) starts off with the death of Joker at the hands of . Later, in both the game and the comic, we see the deaths of Green Arrow, Captain Marvel (SHAZAM!), Robin, and many more. The Injustice 2 comic's opening is just as shocking, as shocks the world by breaking his rule about killing and deciding to use a gun. This begs an important question, who's going to die this time around?

Let's take a look at each character who might not survive the events of Injustice 2, and how they will most likely perish as the story unfolds.

Harley Quinn

As much as Batman and Superman's rivalry was important to the story in the game, I doubt the comic series would be anywhere near as enjoyable without Harley Quinn. Harley went from the Joker's lackey to being a crucial part of Batman's Insurgency to fight against Superman's regime. While Harley remained the psychotic, funny clown that fans have grown to love, what made her stand out in this series was the way she showed how much she cared for people - ultimately becoming a hero.

For Injustice 2, I'm certain Superman still wants her dead because she is responsible for the deaths of Lois and their unborn child. I also wouldn't be shocked if someone on her own team kills her accidentally.

Chance of Survival: High

Despite all this, Harley is an extremely popular character. To see her die in Injustice 2 is very unlikely. Then again, this is a world where Superman killed Joker, and Batman uses a gun.

Damian Wayne

If not for Damian, Batman's Insurgency would have defeated Superman's Regime with ease - but Damian knows how his father thinks. Because of Damian, the world found out who Batman was with a single tweet. He also helped out when the Regime started taking criminals from Arkham Asylum.

Batman always said the reason he didn't start killing was because he knew he'd never stop. He's already taken two lives, and Damian owes Bruce for killing Dick. It may have been an accident, but Bruce won't forget that Damian killed his son. In short, if Damian gets in Batman's way, Damian is going to get killed.

Chance of Survival: Low

Damian will absolutely pop up again. The question is whether or not something happens to make him team up with his father again. If they are at odds, he will most likely die.

Black Canary

Black Canary was taken to another Earth to raise the son she had with her reality's Green Arrow. While she may have found another Oliver Queen, no one can replace the one she lost and she will never forgive Superman for killing him. Black Canary is not the type to forgive and forget.

At some point, she is going to want the head of Superman, and will always volunteer going after him (when Superman eventually gets out of prison). The problem is, Superman didn't hesitate to kill her before, and he won't hesitate again. If there is going to be a death that will make people sad, but won't necessarily frustrate audiences in terms of story, it would most likely be Black Canary.

Chance of Survival: Moderate

She's been killed once already, so killing her again won't have a great impact. However, Black Canary is definitely stubborn enough to try and fight Superman head on.

The Flash

If you REALLY want to make DC fans sad, kill the Flash.

Everyone loves the Flash, and why wouldn't we? He's kind, funny, has cool powers, and doesn't really want to hurt anyone. In fact, the only reason he stayed on Superman's team was probably out of fear. He says that it was because he thought Superman was doing the right thing, but he never really agreed with Superman's methods.

In the end, Flash was instrumental when helping Batman defeat Superman, and Superman will be looking for a reason to repay Flash for his treason. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if the first person Superman sets out to kill is the Flash.

Chance of Survival: High

Like I stated above, everyone loves the Flash. Killing him might even affect sales. If he dies, Harley survives and vice versa.

Batman

Although it may seem unlikely at first, there is a real chance Batman won't make it out of this alive. He has gone deeper and deeper into a place he has spent his life trying to avoid. He no longer has Commissioner Gordon, Barbara Gordon (Batgirl), Alfred, or Dick Grayson to keep him from becoming more Batman than Bruce Wayne. Now that they're gone, who is going to stop him from becoming reckless and going after Superman head on? No one.

Chance of Survival: High

This game will likely end with Batman attacking Superman, with the Man of Steel possibly breaking Batman's neck. BUT there is also one other possibility...

Superman

Absolute power corrupts absolutely, and Batman may be in a position to have all the power in the world. Batman liked to fancy himself better than Superman when he was in charge, but he's officially taken a life for the greater good. After what Batman did to Amanda Waller in Injustice 2 issue #2, he can no longer say that he is better than Superman, or any other hero that kills.

We all know that Bruce and Superman are eventually going to have their fight, and Batman might finally kill Superman - making him the big bad for Injustice 3.

Also, let's not forget that there is also one more superhuman out there that can take Superman out: Wonder Woman defeated Superman in combat in Injustice. Although Superman's plans failed, Wonder Woman might go looking to rule the world herself. And realistically, who can stop her?

Chance of Survival: Moderate

I don't see how Superman makes it out of this game alive. Batman and Superman won't both survive unless an outside force brings them together. But that type of cliché is something that is reserved for other comic books - and has no place in the Injustice series.
