Pokemon Go has exploded, to such an extent that traffic has been stopped and Central Park was flooded with players hunting a Charizard. With many players being new to the game, they may not be aware of the secret behind Eevee. Eevee is a rare Pokemon with multiple evolution options. When first introduced, Eevee could go into one of three Pokemon,Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon.

To determine which of these Eevee would evolve into would depend on which evolution stone was used, either a thunder stone for Jolteon, water stone for Vaporeon or a fire stone for Flareon. However, volution stones are not present in Pokemon Go and players have been wondering, how do you guarantee the evolution of your Eevee? Well, the answer is finally here! Meet the Eevee Brothers.

Appearing in the first series of the anime, these are the Eevee Brothers. The four each owned an Eevee-option. Sparky had Jolteon, Rainer owned Vaproeon, Pyro partners with Flareon and the youngest brother Mikey has the original Eevee. These brothers are the key to how you control the Eeveelution of your Eevee in Pokemon Go. Essentially, it is an Easter egg within the game. All you need to do is name your Eevee after the Eevee brother for Jolteon, Vaporeon or Flareon. This method has been tested by players around the world and is confirmed to work! So now you do not have to play the random risk game, if you are missing Jolteon all you need do is name your next Eevee Sparky and he will evolve into Jolteon, Rainer for Vaporeon and Pyro for Flareon.

With this revealed it suggests there could be more hidden Easter eggs within the game, and with so many players on the game they will surely be revealed sooner rather than later. Until then, check out what could be added to the game soon and keep exploring to complete your Pokedex!

Which Eeveelution do you like the most?
